Notes: One of my first assignments this year was to travel to Europe to meet up with Gojira, a band I have worked with since 2018, and capture their biggest shows of their career thus far. This was on the tail end of my time with them, and we played a massive hall in Luxembourg. I remember climbing up on their risers directly behind Mario to capture this shot. I had tried to get this exact shot numerous times throughout the week, and it just never came out right, until Luxembourg. Everything about this shot I love - to the different heights of the flame units, to Mario having both sticks in the air ready to ignite the beat to drive the force that is Gojira.
